David J. Walker
David Walker concentrates his practice on the regional and national representation of lenders, developers, investors and others in acquiring, financing and developing commercial, residential and mixed-use properties, including properties financed through federal, state and conventional housing and financing programs, mortgage-backed securities transactions, and programs of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
David drafts and negotiates leases, lease modifications and termination agreements for landlords and tenants for office, retail, shopping center and warehouse space. He has considerable experience counseling clients on FHA/HUD-insured loan programs for multifamily projects, as well as with loan portfolio purchases and sales. He has represented lenders in FHA-insured mortgage loan closings for new construction, as well as the rehabilitation and refinancing of existing projects. He also represented owners in analyzing HUD-related issues in connection with owning, financing and selling affordable housing and HUD-insured projects.
Another aspect of David's involves representing voice, data and VoIP telecommunications providers, electronic commerce providers, Internet service providers, as well as emerging and established technology companies on various contract matters. He drafts and negotiates online legal agreements and documents for the purchase and sale of businesses.
