Dipesh Patel concentrates his practice in commercial bankruptcy and corporate reorganization. He has represented numerous constituencies in this capacity, both in and out of bankruptcy, including the representation of debtors, creditors, purchasers, chapter 7, chapter 11 and liquidating trustees, and court-appointed receivers and assignees in state court insolvency proceedings.
Dipesh also has experience in bankruptcy litigation, including avoidance actions and other adversary proceedings.
Prior to joining Saul Ewing, Dipesh was an associate with Forman Holt Eliades Ravin & Youngman LLC, a boutique insolvency firm.While at Forman Holt, he argued motions in bankruptcy and state court and prosecuted, defended and settled adversary proceedings brought before bankruptcy courts.
During law school, Dipesh gained valuable bankruptcy experience by completing various academic and summer internships with the bankruptcy courts. Dipesh served as a judicial intern to both the Hon. Kathryn Ferguson of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Trenton, NJ and the Hon. Rosemary Gambardella, former chief judge for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Newark, NJ. At commencement, Dipesh was awarded the ABI Medal of Excellence.
Dipesh earned his J.D. from Rutgers University – Camden and his B.A. from Seton Hall University. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
