Jamie L. Lucia

Jamie L. Lucia focuses her practice on patent and trademark litigation and she has extensive experience representing pharmaceutical companies in high-stakes Hatch-Waxman patent litigation involving pharmaceutical compounds and formulations, methods of treatment and medical devices.  Her patent litigation experience covers a wide range of other technologies, including business methods, mechanical devices and computer science.

Prior to joining Saul Ewing, Jamie was a  senior legal editor in the Intellectual Property & Technology group for the website Practical Law and its companion magazine, where she created patent litigation resources for law firm attorneys and in-house counsel.

Jamie’s educational background contributes to her understanding of the scientific concepts that arise in her representation of clients in the life sciences industry.  She has an undergraduate degree in chemistry and has worked as both a research chemist and chemical hygiene officer for a pharmaceutical company.  She also did graduate coursework in chemical physics and optics at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

During law school, Jamie was a judicial intern for Chief Judge Edward Damich in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
