Jocelyn S. Young
Jocelyn Young focuses her practice on business and finance matters, particularly those involving the life sciences industry as well as private equity and venture capital. Her legal work is informed by her over 15 years of experience with business development evaluation, market research and project management for private and public companies in the United States and China.
Before becoming an attorney, Jocelyn developed business case scenarios and advised senior management for an international pharmaceutical company on the commercial feasibility of potential in-licensing, divestment, acquisitions and co-promotion transactions. She also worked as a research director for companies providing market intelligence and data analysis to the IT industry with a particular focus on health care, higher education and government. Her project management experience includes managing software localization projects for U.S. and European technology companies serving Asian markets.
Prior to joining Saul Ewing, Jocelyn was a law clerk for The Honorable Jack M. Sabatino in the Appellate Division of New Jersey Superior Court. She also was a part-time law clerk for the State of Delaware and the Community Legal Aid Society.
Jocelyn is fluent in Mandarin Chinese from her experience working and studying in China.
