Baltimore Emerging Companies Roundtable Discussion, November 6, 2014
As an emerging company, it may be difficult to compete with more established companies on salary. Nevertheless, there are strategies that can be used to attract and maintain talent. Panelists will discuss alternate types of incentive-based compensation and unique ways to compensate your employees for sharing in the risk of your company.
Facilitators for this discussion will be the following thought leaders:
- Lisa First-Willis, a practice leader and senior HR Business Consultant at impactHR, LLC who has more than 18 years of experience in HR leading and consulting on strategic initiatives designed to improve corporate image and employee morale while increasing operational efficiency and compliance.
- Brian Meritt, a tax partner at McGladrey LLP who provides entrepreneurs and their businesses with compliance and proactive tax planning services that address the evolving needs of this fast-paced global economy.
- Kevin A. Wiggins, special counsel in Saul Ewing’s Labor, Employment and Employee Benefits Practice who has nearly 20 years of experience working on employee benefits, health plans and ERISA litigation involving health and welfare claims.
The Discussion will take place at the Firm’s Baltimore office, 500 E. Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m., with networking to follow until 10 a.m. A light breakfast will be served.
