Saul Ewing attorneys discuss legal issues for port authorities
Paul M. Heylman, partner and chair of Saul Ewing’s Ports and Maritime Practice, along with partner Stephen B. Ravin and associate Matt Antonelli, will present on legal topics affecting port authorities at the 2017 American Association of Port Authorities’ Port Administration & Legal Issues Seminar. The two-day conference, in Oakland California, brings together port administrators, finance officers, real estate managers, attorneys, and risk managers to discuss the latest trends and issues facing U.S. port authorities.
On the first day of the event, Matt will moderate a panel entitled “How to Ensure Payments and Address Tenant Bankruptcies,” featuring Steve as a panelist. The session will use the recent bankruptcy of Hanjin Shipping to help attendees better understand bankruptcy protocols and ways to protect their financial interests.
Paul will participate in a panel for a session entitled “Labor Issues and Labor Disruptions.” The session will cover labor issues, including unionization efforts, productivity standards and other disputes.
Saul Ewing is a proud sponsor of this event.
