Louis Lehr, John Ropiequet Present on Supreme Court Case Zenith v. Matsushita
Arnstein & Lehr LLP Chicago retired partner Louis Lehr and of counsel John Ropiequet presented a seminar lecture entitled “Lessons from Zenith v. Matsushita: A Monument to Civility and Ethics” to the Chicago Lincoln American Inn of Court on September 9.
The lecture recounted some of the behind-the-scenes history at the trial court level in a case that is well known for the Supreme Court’s ultimate approval of the trial court’s summary judgment dismissing one of the largest and most contentious antitrust cases in our country’s history. The trial judge, with the help of some of the attorneys, employed civility to bring the litigation under control after years of turmoil.
This was Mr. Ropiequet’s 100th seminar lecture.
