Arnstein & Lehr Of Counsel Attorney Defends Client PJ Cleaners in Chemical Leak Case
March 11, 2015

On March 2, John Ropiequet, of counsel in Arnstein & Lehr's litigation department, was quoted in the Wednesday Journal article, “Oak Park vet sues dry cleaner over chemical leak,” as his client, PJ Cleaners, heads back to court with neighboring Oak Park Animal Hospital. The hospital claims dangerous chemicals from the cleaners are leaking onto their property. John defended PJ Cleaners, explaining that they hired an environmental consultant to conduct environmental testing of the animal hospital property in 2007, but the hospital staff would not allow the consultant to enter hospital property. Additionally, he said “they have to have access to find out where (the contamination) is…PJ Cleaners ceased its efforts at cleanup because of the unwillingness to cooperate.”
