Arnstein & Lehr Taps Apostolides to Chair Litigation Group
CHICAGO – National law firm Arnstein & Lehr LLP announces the appointment of partner George Apostolides to chair its Chicago Litigation Practice Group.
“George has immediately set to work, taking on this leadership role,” says firm Chairman Jeffrey B. Shapiro. “He really understands how to match the skills and talents of our attorneys with the needs of our clients. We’re proud that a lawyer who came to our firm right out of law school 20 years ago is now leading one of our most active areas of practice.”
Apostolides, 45, joined the firm upon his graduation from Northwestern University School of Law in 1995. He focuses his practice on business and bankruptcy litigation, regularly handling matters in Illinois’ state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate levels.
In his years with Arnstein, Apostolides has worked closely with Michael L. Gesas, the noted bankruptcy attorney, whom he now replaces as practice group chair. “George is a tremendously talented advocate for his clients, always thinking about their best interests, short-term and long-term,” says Gesas, who was named Managing Partner of the Chicago office in October of last year.
A graduate of Princeton University, Apostolides says he’s enthusiastic about his new responsibilities and “being part of the next generation of leadership in a firm that has such great tradition and experience behind it.” Apostolides lives in Chicago with his family.
