Chicago office welcomes Edward G. Quinlisk
The Chicago office of Arnstein & Lehr is pleased to welcome Edward G. Quinlisk to the firm today as a partner in the Corporate Transactions & Counseling practice group. Most recently, he was a partner at McDonald Hopkins. Prior to that, Mr. Quinlisk practiced at Jenner & Block for 10 years.
Mr. Quinlisk has experience in the areas of securities, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and general business counseling. During his career, Mr. Quinlisk has helped clients with a variety of transactions in the securities area that includes private placements, public stock offerings, registered split offs, shelf registrations, Rule 144A placements, tender offers and going-private transactions. His experience also includes advising clients on private equity investments and fund formations, representing organizations in complex business transactions, as well as corporate governance issues.
One of Mr. Quinlisk's most notable experiences involved representing General Motors in the sale of substantially all of its assets to a newly-formed entity sponsored by the U.S. Treasury in connection with GM's voluntary petitions for relief under the Bankruptcy Code.
He is the author of the "Corporate Communications" chapter of the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education publication, "Securities Law." Over the years, he has authored or contributed to several articles on corporate securities law compliance, disclosure issues and shareholder proposals. Mr. Quinlisk earned his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 1999 and his B.S. from Roosevelt University in 1996. He also earned a master of laws (LL.M) degree in tax from New York University.
