DiChello discusses how Trump presidency may affect private client practice
Amanda DiChello, a partner and co-chair of Saul Ewing’s Private Client Practice, shares her thoughts on how the Trump presidency may affect her practice and clients in an article on Law 360. In the article, Amanda says “Donald Trump has proposed significant tax reform, including eliminating the federal estate tax and the step-up in basis for estates exceeding $10 million. We anticipate there will be significant work in the short-term to counsel and advise clients, specifically as to the income and capital gains tax impact of Mr. Trump’s proposed tax reformation.” She also notes that while there may be a lesser need for advanced tax planning, estate planning that is not tax-driven will always be needed.
