April Doss, partner and chair of Saul Ewing’s Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice, discusses renewal of FISA Section 702 in this article in Bloomberg BNA. In the article, April, who also testified at a Congressional hearing in support of Section 702 said, “(Section 702) has been a critically important authority for the intelligence community in producing intelligence reporting, especially on counterterrorism.” April also discusses the misconceptions associated with Section 702 including that it is “bulk collection authority,” and “allows free-for-all collection against foreigners.”
