Rob Duston, a Saul Ewing partner with experience defending civil rights cases, was featured on an NBC 4 Washington News segment about discriminatory advertisements for home rental sites. The segment describes how property owners who advertise their rentals on sites such as Airbnb are being sued under the Fair Housing Act for discriminating against families with children in their advertisements. Duston suggests that owners reach out to an attorney if they have questions about their property and in regards to writing the advertisement, he comments “You can't express a preference and the more you say and try to suggest this is not a good place for kids, the more it looks like you're expressing a preference.”
