Levin first Baltimore lawyer to serve as Saul Ewing Managing Partner
This article covers Barry F. Levin’s election to Managing Partner of Saul Ewing, noting he is the first attorney from outside the firm’s Philadelphia office to assume what is essentially the CEO post.
“It’s not that bad of a commute,” said Levin, who currently serves as chair of the Business and Finance Department. He will take over for Managing Partner David S. Antzis, who was primarily responsible for recruiting Levin to the firm in 2003.
Levin intends to relinquish parts of his practice to focus on leading the firm, but will not surrender his practice entirely.
As for his plans for the firm, Levin said he thinks its middle market is a “good place to be.” He would like to grow existing offices and practice areas, as well as open new offices if it makes good business sense to do so.
