Miguel Diaz De La Portilla featured in Miami Herald and supported by attorney general for hit-and-run bill

Arnstein & Lehr Miami Partner Miguel Diaz De La Portilla aims to discourage hit-and-run drivers in Florida by sponsoring legislation (SB102) to change the law. On February 5, the Miami Herald newspaper published an article titled, “get tough on hit-and-run drivers” which discusses Mr. Diaz De La Portilla’s bill to create a minimum mandatory sentence of four years for leaving the scene of an accident that results in death. Attorney General Pam Bondi supports the bill and referred to it as, “much needed legislation.”
