Taylor quoted in News Journal on Beau Biden Child Protection Act
Jim Taylor, a partner in Saul Ewing’s Higher Education Practice, was quoted in an article in The News Journal regarding the Joseph R. "Beau" Biden III Child Protection Act. Starting April 7, the new law will require youth camps in Delaware, even those operating part-time, to conduct fingerprint-based state and national criminal background checks on employee, volunteers and contractors who have contact with children.
In the article Jim, who represents charter schools in Delaware, explains that he has been approached by clients who have questions about how to comply with the law.
"There are certainly practical questions that pop up about it," he said in the article. "But everyone supports the broader goal."
