Saul Ewing Attorney Jacqueline A. Brooks Elected Member-at-Large of MSBA Business Law Section Council
Saul Ewing LLP, a full service law firm with more than 270 lawyers in 11 East Coast offices, today announced that Jacqueline A. Brooks, an attorney in the firm’s Business and Finance Practice, has been elected Member-at-Large of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Business Law Section Council. She will serve a three-year term.
The MSBA Business Law Section brings together MSBA members who share a special interest in the fields of corporation, banking, and business law; furthers the study, development, and improvement of the law applicable thereto; and sponsors programs throughout the year covering topics of general interest to corporation, banking, and business lawyers.
At Saul Ewing, Ms. Brooks concentrates her practice in general business and commercial law. She counsels clients in mergers and acquisitions, purchases and sales of businesses, commercial finance, private offerings of debt and equity securities, and life science transactions, and shareholder derivative matters, including shareholder demand responses and special committee issues. Ms. Brooks has experience representing public companies, privately owned and managed companies, nonprofit organizations and start-up companies and provides general counsel to these organizations regarding corporate matters.
Ms. Brooks earned her J.D. from Washington University School of Law, and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Georgia Southern University
