Saul Ewing Grows Pittsburgh Office with Addition of Three ERISA Attorneys

(Pittsburgh, PA, March 25, 2013 - 2013-03-25)

Three ERISA attorneys from Thorp Reed & Armstrong LLP have joined Saul Ewing LLP’s Business and Finance Department as members of its Employee Benefits and Tax practices, effective immediately.

The new team expands the attorney head count in the firm’s Pittsburgh office, which opened in May 2012, from five to nine.

The new attorneys are Sarah “Sally” Lockwood Church, Paul A. Kasicky, and Kevin A. Wiggins. They each focus their practice on ERISA and employee benefits law, handling complex matters ranging from executive compensation to the Affordable Care Act.

“The strength of their practices and extensive experience handling ERISA and employee benefits work, coupled with our goal of broadening the firm’s business services in the western part of the state, were key factors in bringing this talented team on board,” said Barry F. Levin, chair of the Business and Finance Department. “They are a valuable asset to our Business team and the depth of services they can provide to our clients integrates perfectly with Saul Ewing’s desire to grow our Pittsburgh presence.”

When Saul Ewing opened its Pittsburgh office, the goal was to grow the office strategically by enhancing current legal services and adding new ones.

“We are thrilled to be a part of Saul Ewing’s Business and Finance team,” said Ms. Church. “From the beginning of our discussions, it was clear that we are a great match. We’re excited about adding a new area of legal business work to the Pittsburgh office and cannot wait to get started.”
