The Associates Committee

Saul Ewing listens.

Saul Ewing has an open door policy and associates are encouraged to approach partners and the Firm's Executive Committee with questions, concerns and ideas. In addition, each office and department has at least one associate representative to the Associates Committee. The Committee organizes firm-wide associate events, such as the ever-popular associate bowling event and an annual crab fest in Baltimore. The Committee also discusses associate concerns and ideas and is another avenue for communication to the Firm's Executive Committee. Saul Ewing's associate bonus policy and technology stipend are examples of ideas raised within the Associates Committee before implementation by the Firm Executive Committee. Saul Ewing's associates think ahead and get results!

The Career Development Committee

Saul Ewing mentors.

You leave law school with some knowledge of the law, but no experience at the practice of law. The Career Development Committee, a group of partners and associates, administers our formal mentoring and orientation programs. Saul Ewing thinks ahead to the development of practices by its associates.

Departmental Programs

Saul Ewing trains.

Each department, group and practice area runs training programs for its associates. The programs include on-going monthly associate development sessions in departments such as Business, Litigation and Real Estate and regular lunches and presentations in various other practice areas. Associate training is taken seriously. Saul Ewing understands the value in cultivating the professional development of its associates.
