He is a trusted advisor and counselor to senior executives, high net-worth individuals and corporate clients on a broad range of complex corporate and transactional matters for clients in a variety of sectors including, manufacturing, food and beverage, agriculture, health care, energy, technology and professional services.

Al was previously assistant general counsel and chief corporate attorney for a billion-dollar leading financial services firm, an experience that refined his business acumen and pragmatic approach to serving clients. He is also the author of a top-selling career development guide, "Secrets to Success," and regularly writes for Forbes.com and other national publications.

Experience

  • Lead counsel on a multitude of domestic and international companies in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures with transactional enterprise value in excess of approximately $2 billion.
  • General counsel to several private investment funds focused on early and growth stage investment opportunities in sports, entertainment, real estate, manufacturing and technology. Lead counsel on all fund formation activities, corporate governance and portfolio company representation.
  • Lead counsel to a multitude of SEC Registered Investment Advisers. Prepares and files regulatory filings, draft and update investment advisory agreements, and advises on applicable compliance policies and programs.
  • Counsel to a Fortune 100 diversified energy, grain and food cooperative. Provides strategic advice and counsel to senior legal team on various domestic and international commercial matters.
