David T. Shafer
Dave Shafer assists with a variety of business, finance and cybersecurity matters, including private equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions.
Dave helps businesses with transactions and regulations in the government contracting industry as well. His work includes assisting with the negotiation and drafting of acquisition agreements, contract novations and compliance with procurement regulations.
Dave was a summer associate in 2014 for Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr, where he worked on a variety of litigation and transactional matters, including issues involving real estate, foreign entity operations and the Fair Labor Standards Act.
While in law school at the University of Baltimore, Dave worked as a student attorney in the Bob Parsons Veterans Advocacy Clinic, providing legal assistance to disabled veterans. In addition, Dave was a judicial intern for the Honorable Deborah K. Chasanow in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
Prior to law school, Dave served in the U.S. Marine Corps, deploying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He also has experience working as a senior consultant in the cybersecurity field.
