Kyra Smerkanich concentrates her practice in complex civil litigation, with a focus on real estate and construction. She has trial and arbitration experience and has worked on commercial matters ranging from multi-million dollar construction cases, employment discrimination claims and legal malpractice suits to spoliation/intentional destruction of electronically stored information (ESI), and control and profit-sharing disputes among members, partners and co-investors. Kyra's work spans state and federal courts and includes preparing complaints, drafting motions and taking depositions. Kyra is also experienced in handling the many facets of electronic discovery and information governance.

Prior to joining Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr, Kyra was a law clerk to the Honorable Michael L. Rankin of the Superior Court for the District of Columbia. During law school, Kyra interned with the Office of the Pennsylvania Attorney General in the Civil Division. Prior to attending law school, she worked for the U.S. Department of Justice in the Office of Information Policy.
