Michael J. Pollock is a member of the firm’s litigation practice. Before joining the firm, Michael worked as a law clerk at a prominent Chicago law firm, where he conducted research in civil litigation matters including personal injury, medical malpractice and worker’s compensation; drafted legal memoranda outlining research performed while including a strategy to implement the cases researched; and participated in motion practice including writing and answering motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss and petitions for attorney fees.
In law school, Michael worked at The John Marshall Law School Pro Bono Clinic, where he participated in civil litigation, including arguing motions for summary judgment and conducting witness interviews and depositions; conducted citations to discover assets as well as rules to show cause and facilitated civil body attachment orders; performed legal research on various issues arising during civil proceedings; wrote and argued motions for summary judgment at the Cook County Circuit Court; and prepared for and participated in a §1983 federal trial in the Central District of Illinois.
Additionally, he served as a legal extern for the American Health Information Management Association. As a legal extern, he reviewed contracts and agreements as well as assisted the CEO, CFO and in-house counsel with potential contract breaches and provided feedback to management on potential contracts.
