Sandy Bilus, vice chair of the Firm's Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice, is quoted in the American Bar Association's Litigation Journal discussing United States v. Zaslavskiy. The ruling was the first to decide that cryptocurrencies may be subject to U.S. securities laws.

"Zaslavskiy is the first federal district court decision that agrees with SEC guidance that cryptocurrencies are investments," said Sandy. "The securities laws were in place decades before this type of investment scheme was thought up, but the laws can still apply."
