Jon Barooshian brings almost three decades of experience as a litigator to the table, in his work for business clients facing criminal and civil proceedings involving white collar claims and tax controversies, as well as in complex commercial disputes. A seasoned trial lawyer and former state prosecutor for the Norfolk County District Attorney, Jon's practice includes defending clients in both state and federal courts and in U.S. Tax Court. Jon represents both public and private companies operating in a wide range of industries, including real estate, construction, development, utilities and suppliers. 

Jon's white collar work includes cases involving claims of money laundering, securities fraud and theft. In addition to representing clients in court, Jon defends them in administrative proceedings and counsels and represents them in responses to government inquiries and investigations. This includes investigations into claims of civil and criminal tax fraud, cases involving FBAR (Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts) and offshore bank accounts, and proceedings involving voluntary disclosure and state and federal tax collections. He also handles forfeiture matters.

Clients also look to Jon to conduct internal investigations in response to events that may give rise to civil and criminal liability and expose companies to high-profile media attention. In addition, his experience includes representing companies in class actions, including serving as national coordinating counsel.
